The Vision Behind the Factory
Johnny Stewart is a visionary venture capital leader, corporate architect, and author based in Los Angeles. Recognizing that traditional venture capital had failed to bridge the economic divide for Black, minority, and women entrepreneurs, Stewart established Black Unicorn Factory as a direct-to-public alternative.
He pioneered innovative equity crowdfunding and task-based capitalization frameworks, authoring books on alternative investing, crowdsourced wealth-building, and navigating the JOBS Act. Under his guidance, BUF has grown into a nationwide movement preparing dozens of high-potential enterprises for public market listings.
